springandsummer	2:39p	I am feeling pretty accomplished, I have to say! ♥ Last night I successfully picture (and text) messaged Jaymee ♥ I forsee some lulzy things in our future, but this is why we are BFFs and if we are not, don't tell me. I will be v. v. excited when Gabby straightens out her text messages. Also v. v. excited to see her in three months (OMG) and we still need to figure out what we will be seeing. I also fiiiinally figured out how to retro-engineer an ornament that my aunt made probably before I was even born, which has literally been a two year process. They take a while and make me feel blind, but they make pretty good presents ♥ I'm kind of intimidated because I think I put stuff off too long to get all the crafting done that I wanted to, but I always forget how long stuff actually takes. Subsequently some packages may end up being more New Year's presents, but I think that's okay. It sounds kind of dumb, but it would also be a good idea for me to start now (well, after I scrape all of this off my plate) on next year's Christmas stuff because I have Great Big Huge Plans™ Also - gasp shock horror - I am thinking about getting a Twitter. I don't know if I'd use it a lot, but possibly, since you can do it via text message. I doubt that I'd do that thing where it dumps your tweets into LJ because lord knows that's fucking annoying, so no worries there. Thoughts/suggestions/enabling? springandsummer	10:30a	Boo, it's supposed to snow tomorrow into Sunday :/ Subsequently I really need to at least start my last minute stuff today, as I want to put some things in the mail (although I guess I could go early on Saturday, because it's not as if the post office is miles and miles away). I also need to talk to my bb ♥ and ~subtly~ ask her what her favorite colors are. Obviously I should be a spy, I'm so subtle. Boo LJ, you whore >:| So apparently gods and little fishies were looking out for me (when bigboobedcanuck bought me extra icons last month ♥), because the traditional LJ holiday promotion I was counting on...appears to have disappeared into the ether >:| In December of previous years, LJ would let you buy an account for a friend for twenty bucks and threw in the extra icons for free. This year, however, they have a Super Awesome Neato Promotion That Will Surely Win Them Friends and Admiration of letting paid users give their non-paid friends* a Magical Coupon™ that will let them spend their own money to buy their very own year of paid service for 9.95 if you sign up for automatic payments (which you can totally cancel ASAP, so) or 15 for a manual payment. It theoretically works out to be the same amount of money spent for the same amount of stuff (twenty bucks = 9.95 account + 10 for extra icons), but that means that the person with the account needs to be the one to spend the money. Well, or I guess you could theoretically buy a gift certificate for them too, to cover the difference, but it'd need to be at least $15. *LJ friends who do not have paid accounts, not people who give it away for free to anyone who asks,msmoocow, even though you are both. Oh, and for bonus giggles, it can't be used to extend a currently paid account~♪ So! If you currently are unpaid (or if your paid status will lapse by January 15th) and you would like a coupon to get a year's worth of paid LJ for ten bucks, I have ten coupons available.
